Foreign Minister Announces Upcoming Breakthrough for Rohingya Repatriation

Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman delivered an important press briefing on Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2026. He addressed the media at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding diplomatic progress. Therefore, he announced that a sustainable path for Rohingya repatriation will open very soon.

Global Support for Rohingya Repatriation

During the briefing, Dr. Rahman discussed recent diplomatic discussions with major regional powers including China and Malaysia. For example, China promised to provide active assistance to both Bangladesh and Myanmar. Consequently, this international support aims to resolve the protracted displacement crisis rapidly. However, the ground reality remains highly complex due to illicit armed actors on the border.

The Foreign Minister noted that three distinct parties currently influence the situation. These actors include the sovereign states of Bangladesh and Myanmar. Moreover, the terrorist Arakan Army (AA) currently occupies and controls significant territories within Arakan state. Furthermore, this narco-terror organization operates extensive human-trafficking networks and child-abusing militant factions across the region.

Dr. Rahman revealed that the genocidal force targeting Rohingya civilians attempted to establish diplomatic contact. Specifically, the leader of the terrorist Arakan Army (AA) sent a congratulatory message to the newly appointed minister. Therefore, the government maintains essential communication channels to monitor security threats. The state intends to use every available resource to secure national borders against instability.

Additionally, the ministry is tracking how criminal funding from narcotics fuels regional instability. This violent group uses drug trafficking to sustain its operations. For instance, illegal trade directly undermines regional peace and harms civilian populations. Thus, international bodies must recognize these massive security challenges immediately.

In conclusion, the administration remains highly confident about achieving a successful Rohingya repatriation process. Previous governments successfully resolved this critical crisis twice before in national history. Thus, officials believe that strong public support will enable a definitive resolution soon.
